Long version

Liquid nitrogen is the new ice cream craze (other than donut and churro ice cream)  of California. If you're not familiar, it's ice cream that's made to order. Add ice cream ingredients into liquid nitrogen, mix all of the ingredients in a stand mixer and voila: the smoothest ice cream you've ever had!

After obsessing over  à la minute for almost a year now, I've joked several times  with my friends about dropping out of the Claremont Colleges to open my own liquid nitrogen ice cream place in the Claremont Village. Comes to show how much faith I have in this business. I think I will spend many paychecks  here.

My favorite is the Orange honey.  I get this item 9/10 times 😜👍
Once in a while I will try the monthly special.

Next favorite flavors are the mint chip and espresso chip. The mint is fresh and isn't overpowering. I'm a huge fan of chocolate covered espresso so the espresso chip ice cream  is a great combo for me.

Another great item is the chocolate lavender. I usually prefer intense cocoa flavors but this one, surprisingly, was not intense but still delicious. I can't taste the lavender in there though but maybe someone out there has more sensitive palette than me.

Salted caramel is good but I like to ask for extra salt for the kick.
Strawberry and  plain vanilla are so so, mainly because they're being compared to other unique items that this business offers. If you're a fan of classics, you may prefer these items.

Not a regular item but I'm not a fan of the Jameson Chip because the whiskey is overpowering and there's a bitter aftertaste.

I'm a creature of habit so it's difficult for me to try other flavors after loving the Orange honey so much. BUT if you feel more adventurous than me, try out the strawberry  balsamic, beet and goat cheese, olive oil and vanilla bean and let me know how you like them 😁😁

It's hard to go back to traditionally-made ice cream after you've dipped your tongue into the smooth world of liquid nitrogen-made ones. Good luck!
